After meeting in the city we drive north and enter the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. We walk via the ‘Red Hands’ cave toward West Head and then down to Great Mackerel Beach, where we catch the public ferry to Palm Beach.
Next, we climb the magnificent Barrenjoey Headland. At the summit, we admire the heritage-listed lighthouse and the panoramic views over Broken Bay and Pittwater, before descending via the winding ‘Smuggler’s’ Track.
We then are whisked down the coast by private transfer for lunch in the waterside suburb of Newport.
After lunch, we transfer to the Long Reef Headland. The afternoon is spent on the Northern Beaches Coast Walk, admiring as we go the spectacular views, golden beaches and picturesque ocean pools. (From May to September this is classic whale-watching territory).
Our accomodation tonight is at a beachside Manly Hotel, featuring a rooftop pool. We’ll be dining tonight at a waterside restaurant.
